Wooden model of a ship and a mountain on a flat surface

titanitimer

titanitimer is a comedic timer based on the sinking of the rms titanic, a famous story that has been documented and illustrated numerous times in popular media. though the story itself is tragic, titanitimer puts on it a somewhat sarcastic spin, functioning as a timer that can aide in everyday activities.

Hand-drawn schematic plan of a Titanic shipwreck scene, including labels for the placing of the boat to begin timer, and detailed sketches of the Titanic sinking into an iceberg with boats and debris. Additional notes about ship's motor forces, iceberg interaction, and clock timing are included.

the brittle plastic ship is placed at a specific spot along the line to indicate the length at which the timer is set. each notch on the line represents five minutes, but the whole length of the line is two hours and forty minutes: the lifespan of the titanic.

A wooden block with a vertical black line and white tissue paper attached to it, resembling a small sculpture or experiment, placed on a gray surface against a plain background.

the ship, pulled by a conveyor belt, gradually descends down the ramp until it crashes into the acrylic iceberg, where it shatters.
